ERDCO Flow Meters

Indicating and measuring Flow with ERDCO Flow Meters is a simple Process at Flow Factor.

Flow measurement solutions for liquid, gas or steam service in 1/2" to 72" pipe sizes.

ERDCO® offers a complete line of flowmeters, sight flow indicators, flow transmitters and flow indicating switches. We employ elegantly simple measuring technologies with proven reliability in utility fluid applications.
Whether it's chilled water, air, nitrogen, steam, lube oil or other process support fluid, ERDCO has the flow measurement solution. Select from in-line and insertion styles that feature simplicity, rugged construction and reliable operation. This product range has great versatility across a broad set of applications.

3100 See-Flo® Indicator

See-Flo® indicators show you at a glance, the color, clarity and flow of liquids in process lines. An alloy vane indicator is flexed in proportion to flow through the variable area indicator housing. The large tempered glass window permits easy observation of fluid conditions and vane indicator position for a wide range of liquids in vertical or horizontal piping runs.
The wedge shape of the indicator housing makes the See-Flo® practically self-cleaning. Where periodic maintenance might be necessary, the window is easily removed and replaced. As it is intended to be used as a flow indicator, the scale is not calibrated in this model.
A special write-on surface is provided along the sweep of the indicator on which system reference points may be marked. This can help you establish normal operating limits, rate efficiency or balance a process system.

3200 See-Flo® Indicator

See-Flo® meters indicate flow rate and permit visual inspection of water, air or other transparent fluids. For general purpose industrial service, See-Flo® meters handle a wide range of process fluids in vertical or horizontal piping runs.
The wedge shape of the meter housing makes See-Flo® practically self-cleaning. Where periodic maintenance might be necessary, the tempered glass window is easily removed and replaced. Because of its large internal cavities this product will not plug up like the old glass tube "rotameters".
Each flowmeter is calibrated to be direct reading for the liquid or gas operating conditions that you specify. Scales with special engineering units and dual units of measure are available.

3400 Armor-Flotm meters

Measure liquid, gas or steam flow rates in horizontal or vertical pipelines. Armor-Flotm meters handle more aggressive fluids that cannot be measured with See-Flo® due to clarity, pressure or where process also requires limit switches or signal transmission.
Rare earth cobalt magnets are used to couple the flow isolated indicator with the vane. There are no shaft connections or stuffing boxes. The internal wedge shape of the Armor-Flotm housing is designed for self-cleaning. These features emphasize simplicity and reduce maintenance.
Each flowmeter is calibrated to be direct reading for a liquid or gas at it's operating conditions. The large indicator and dial are easy to read. Scales with special engineering units and dual units of measure are available.

3500 Armor-Flotm meter with Limit Switch

In addition to the performance benefits of the 3400 Series flow rate meter, the 3500 Series Armor-Flotm includes switching capabilities. Adjustable flow switches provide positive indication of flow/no flow conditions or may be positioned to establish process limits. In either application the switch captures the indicator preventing movement until the flow rate is within the acceptable range.
The glass encapsulated reed switches are SPDT rated at 0.25 amperes at 120vac (1.5 amperes at 24vdc). This switch is appropriate for use in Class I, Division 2 areas.

3600 Armor-Flotm meter with Signal Output

Here is a combination of signal transmission with independent mechanical local flow rate indication. Should your 24vdc loop go down, you will still be able to take flow rate readings at the meter.
The output signal is linear within the middle 80% of the range and well suited for tracking utility applications. A response curve is furnished with each flowmeter. Transmitter signal options include:
  • 4-20 mA two wire loop powered
  • 4-20 mA with concurrent 0-1000Hz frequency output
  • 4-20 mA with two adjustable set points
Applications include valve modulation, remote metering, sub-metering, blending and totalizing. Use with ERDCO accessory displays for remote indication or totalizing.

3700 Armor-Flotm meter w/ NEMA-7 Enclosure

Transmit a signal or actuate limit switches in hazardous areas with the 3700 Series Armor-Flotm meter. The cover housing is listed by Underwriters Laboratories as an enclosure for metering equipment in hazardous areas. It contains an easy to read calibrated scale and the signal output or switch circuitry. These devices are magnetically coupled with the flow sensor. This results in complete isolation from the fluid stream.
Six signal and switch options are available:
  • 4-20 mA two wire transmitter
  • 4-20 mA transmitter and frequency output
  • 4-20 mA transmitter with 2 adjustable setpoints
  • Low flow limit switch
  • High flow limit switch
  • Low and high flow limit switches
All instruments are calibrated to the liquid or gas flow conditions that you specify. A wide range of connection types, engineering units, signal options and sizes are available.

20 Series Turbo-Flotm Probe

Here is the precision of a turbine meter with insertion meter ease of use. The low mass non-metallic turbine rotates in direct proportion to fluid velocity and can provide local flow rate and total information with no external power required. 4-20 mA signal outputs are also available for control and automation functions.
The Series 20 probe features 304 stainless steel probe and fitting construction with insertion length for 1.5 to 72 inch pipe sizes. This product is typically installed through 1.25/1.5 inch pipe tees, saddles or threaded spuds - all standard pipe fittings. Very popular method of installation is through a 1.5 inch port ball valve which provides for easy installation and removal.
A full compliment of instrumentation for indication of flow rate, totalization and control function is available. Make Turbo-Flotm your flow measurement solution for water-based liquids.

22 Series Turbo-Flotm Probe

Here is an easy to install insertion meter with turbine meter accuracy. The low mass non-metallic turbine rotates in direct proportion to fluid velocity and can provide local flow rate and total information with no external power required. 4-20 mA signal outputs are also available for control and automation functions.
The 22 Series probe has its own integral screw jack mechanism for "hot tap" insertion through a 1.5 inch full port ball valve at pressures up to 400 psig. By rotating the crank handle at the top of the probe, the turbine is lowered through the open ball valve into the stream. What an improvement over the "tighten down nuts on three threaded rods in rotation" method!
This instrument is ideal for periodic sampling or permanent installation. It is often used as a flow prover for other metering devices in large line sizes.

ERDCO 25 Series Turbo-Flotm Probe

Here is the precision of a turbine meter with insertion meter ease of use. The low mass non-metallic turbine rotates in direct proportion to fluid velocity and can provide local flow rate and total information with no external power required. 4-20 mA signal outputs are also available for control and automation functions.
The 25 Series range offers high performance non-metallic materials of construction like DuPont Delrin® and PVC that are also more economical than stainless steel. Delrin is a particularly good choice for water applications and due to its high natural lubricity, it resists coating from organics and mineral salts. We recommend PVC construction for use in PVC piping systems.
Probe lengths for use in up to 10 inch diameter pipe sizes are available. A full compliment of instrumentation for indication of flow rate, totalization and control functions are available.

HP-302 Open Stream Velocity Meter

The HP-302 is a hand held turbine meter intended for field use. The turbine, when immersed in a flowing stream, rotates at a speed in direct linear proportion to the fluid velocity. A pulse signal is produced with each rotation of the turbine.
The patented design of the turbine and shroud offer unique capabilities. In combination, turbine and shroud are highly directional, enabling detection of stream patterns as well as measurement of velocity. By adjustment of a pivot, the turbine may be rotated over 90 degrees for a vertical velocity measurement and insertion into pipe discharge ends. Small size permits measurement of streams as shallow as 1.5 inches. In addition to the 3 foot probe, extensions may be used for an overall reach of 21 feet enabling sewer surveys from street level.
