The Toshiba P9 Drive has been newly designed exclusively for Pump Control.  The Toshiba P9 adjustable speed drive is a revolution in pump control. Meltric Connectors for Pumps (NFPA70E)

pumps to your power source. As disconnect switches they can be used up to 200 amps. The switches have Poly or metal housings.
Meltric has handles or angle brackets for connecting to a junction box. AND, if you are worried about NFPA70, stop worring:
NFPA 70E Workplace Electrical Safety Standards apply to MCC’s and switchgear and also to plugs & receptacles used to connect welders, pumps, and other portable equipment. Because many of the plugs and receptacles currently in service have accessible live parts and can be hazardous if connected or disconnected under load, users must either update their equipment or follow cumbersome safety procedures in order to comply with NFPA 70E. AND in the National Electric code, Sections 430.102 – 430.109 of the National Electric Code require approved disconnecting means to be located in a readily accessible location within sight of the motor and driven equipment. With their UL & CSA ratings for “Motor Circuit Disconnect Switching” and “Branch Circuit Disconnect Switching”, Decontactor devices are an approved ‘line of sight’ disconnect switch for meeting this requirement. MELTRIC fills the bill for compliance!!

Decontactor plugs and receptacles are ideal for pump connections up to 60 hp or 200 amps. Using Decontactors to connect power to pumps instead of hard-wiring can reduce downtime related to pump servicing by 50% or more. A qualified technician can safely disconnect power to the pump simply by removing the Decontactor plug which can then be easily locked out to ensure safety. The technician can then service the pump in complete safety. When service work is complete the technician can reconnect power simply by plugging the Decontactor plug back into the receptacle.

  • No waiting for an electrician to perform field wiring
  • No “suiting-up” or extraordinary electrical precautions

Decontactor plugs and receptacles are designed and rated to make and break motor loads in complete safety while providing users with significant protection in the event of overloads or short circuits. Special protective equipment and training are not required to make and break connections.

  • Overload testing includes 50 opening and closing operations performed at 600% of full load motor ampacity with a power factor of 0.5 or less.

  • All hp-rated Decontactor devices are rated to close into and withstand short circuit currents up to 100kA in circuits protected with RK1 fusing.

Note: Although Decontactor plugs and receptacles are rated to safely make and break motor loads, they are not rated or intended for continuous use as a motor starter.

A hydronic circulator that conserves energy and eliminates maintenance. Armstrong’s Astro 2 Circulator is intended for circulating water or ethylene glycol solutions in closed hydronic or solar heating systems. It is designed with no mechanical seals or couplers to replace, and no lubrication is required. The Astro 2 series is available in three material constructions for residential, small industrial and commercial installations. Choose from cast iron or lead free bronze or stainless steel models for solar and domestic applications.

Series 4300 Split Coupled Vertical In-Line

Armstrong's vertical in-line pump represents a design innovation that has repeatedly proven its value over the past 30 years. Armstrong took a leadership role in improving the efficiency and utility of commercial pumps by designing and marketing the vertical in-line pump in the early 1970s. Armstrong takes a leading role in educating engineers around the world on the value of vertical in-line pump installations, and offers one of the widest range of vertical in-line pump sizes in the industry. The Armstrong 4300 split coupled vertical in-line pump includes both a silicon carbide seal and an outside balanced seal as standard items. Armstrong vertical in-line pumps combine excellent operating efficiency, with very low vibration and noise. As well, Armstrong offers a very valuable design/assist program whereby an internal designer will work with contractors and engineers to ‘lay out' and mechanical room using vertical technology. In past instances, substituting vertical pumps for horizontal, in addition to reorganizing and repositioning mechanical room components has led to tremendous cost savings in piping and system efficiency.


IVS and IVS Sensorless Variable Speed Pumps

The Armstrong IVS Sensorless pump is designed to meet the need for energy-efficient pumping systems in today's buildings. Traditional smaller pumping systems, up to and including 10 hp, incorporating fixed-speed pumps waste energy through crude throttling valve flow control. Lifetime Cost Analysis shows that the capital cost of a fixed-speed pump is typically only 5% of its lifetime cost.

The IVS Sensorless pump is a new generation variable-speed pump, completely integrated into a compact package. Pressure transducers/sensors are no longer required, which reduces the installed cost of the unit and makes it practical to use these IVS variable-speed pumps in a retrofit installation.

Applications for this technology include variable volume heating and chilled water applications. The design of the Armstrong IVS Sensorless pump goes beyond ASHRAE 90.1 standards, providing the benefits of variable speed technology for motor sizes below 10 hp.

Series 4302 and 4382 Vertical In-Line dualArm Pumps

Armstrong’s new dualArm vertical in-line pumps incorporate two Series 4300 or 4380 pumps in a single casing. Series 4302 is designed with split spacer type couplings, so that the mechanical seals may be serviced without disturbing the pump or motor connections, and is available with outside balanced or inside seals. Series 4382 is the economical close coupled design. Each type is supplied with a swing discharge port to hydraulically separate the casings to prevent recirculation when only one pump operates. Isolation valves enable one pump to be isolated for service or removal with the second pump still operating.

VERTICAL IN-LINE SERIES 4360
Armstrong’s economical, lower-range vertical inline pump for HVAC, domestic water systems, and industrial applications requiring a compact pump. Positive sealing assured by proven inside-type mechanical seal. Radially split volute permits removal of the motor and pump rotating assembly without removing the pump volute from the line. Fewer maintenance and servicing problems due to bearing-free pump design. Available in bronze fitted, all bronze, or all iron construction, in a range of sizes.

VERTICAL IN-LINE SERIES 4380
Armstrong’s close-coupled vertical in-line pump features economical inside-type, single-spring mechanical seal, serviced by removing the rotating assembly while the pump casing remains in the line. Dynamically balanced impeller assures smooth, vibration-free operation. Radially split volute with equal suction and discharge flange sizes. Separate tapped openings for gauge, flush and drain connections. Available in bronze fitted, all bronze, all iron, and ductile iron construction.

Series 4030 and TD40 Base Mounted Pumps

Motor mounted version of the horizontal end suction pump, with flanged connections. Radially-split volute with center-line discharge. Motor features heavy duty, grease-lubricated ball bearings. Supplied with self-lubricating mechanical seal and bronze balanced cast impeller designed for smooth performance and long life. Available in bronze fitted, all bronze and all iron construction.


Series 4600 HSC Horizontal Split Case

The Series 4600 is the state of the art Horizontal Split Case pump – based on the "Tilted Parting" concept to minimize turbulence at the eye of the impeller by its straight laminar approach, thus maximizing efficiency. This also results in the lowest profile and minimum floor space of any HSC pump, lowering installation costs. Cartridge seals and bearing removal nuts ensure ease of maintenance.

Series 4700 Vertical MultiStage Pumps

Environmental Engineering:
Armstrong Series 4700, designed for temperatures ranging from 5°F to 250°F (-15°C to 120°C), are well suited for boiler feed applications, condensate recovery and air conditioning systems. Easy to incorporate into industrial environmental engineering equipment, our Vertical MultiStage pumps combine the advantages of compact design, quiet operation and ease of maintenance.

Water Distribution:
From basic water supply to the most specific pressure boosting and fire line pressure maintenance applications, Armstrong Series 4700 Vertical MultiStage pumps satisfy all water distribution requirements. The wide pressure range - from 10 psig to 430 psig (0.7 bar to 30 bar) - makes this product well suited for applications such as pressure washing of aircraft, trains, boats and road vehicles as well as spray washing of industrial parts and electronic components.

Industry:
Water feed to machine tools, grease removal, cooling of lathes and molds ... water has many uses in the industrial market. The stainless steel design and wide temperature parameters of the Series 4700 Vertical MultiStage pump makes it an ideal unit for light industrial applications.

Water Treatment:
Water is becoming a precious commodity. Water transportation, demineralization, filtration, deionization and reverse osmosis all call for high pressure supply and hygienic considerations. The Armstrong Series 4700 Vertical MultiStage pump is made entirely with stainless steel wetted components, for most sizes and is well suited for these applications.

Agriculture:
The excellent hydraulic efficiency of the Armstrong Series 4700 makes this pump a great choice for irrigation and sprinkling applications. Series 4270 and 4270 Stock Motor Mounted Pumps

Close coupled, motor mounted pump is available in bronze-fitted and all-bronze construction. All models provide tapped openings for venting, draining, and gauge connections. Featuring heavy duty, permanently lubricated motor bearings, Viton seals as standard, non-ferrous engineered resin impeller, stainless steel faceplate and single spring inside mechanical seal.

Motors

Armstrong HE Series motors are general purpose polyphase squirrel cage induction motors meeting all required NEMA and IEEE standards. In addition to numerous in-factory sampling motor tests to verify and improve designs, motors have been tested at Hydro-Quebec’s independent motor testing laboratory in Canada. Armstrong HE Series TEFC motors from 1 hp to 100 hp currently meet or exceed the efficiency requirements of the US Energy Policy Act of 1992 (EPAct) and Natural Resource Canada Standards (NRCan).
