The Parker Gold Ring Series 22, 23 and 25 valves are the most common general purpose valves in the Gold Ring series.  These valves are similar to ASCO's  8210 series valves in form, fit and function.

The Parker Gold Ring series 22 valves are a pilot operated 2-way valve that requires about a 5 PSI minimum pressure differential. The valve has sizes from 3/8 inch to 2 inch and pressures up to 300 psi.

The Parker Gold Ring series 23 valves are a pilot operated hung diaphragm style 2-way valve that requires a 0 PSI minimum pressure differential. The valve has sizes from 3/8 inch to 2 inch and pressures up to 150 psi.

The Series 22, 23 and 25 can be purchased in normally closed or normally open.  Normally closed is much more common.  Normally closed means energize to OPEN.  With no power the valve will be closed or allow NO flow.

The valves normally come with BUNA N seals (Nitrile) but can be ordered with Viton or EPR seals for higher temperature fluids or use with petroleum products like gasoline or diesel.
